Metallurgical Silicon Metal Grade 553 can be used as an additive to aluminum alloys to increase the fluidity and tenacity of Aluminum and its alloys. Silicon aluminum alloy is a strong compound deoxidizer. It can be used in the steelmaking process instead of pure aluminum to improve the utilization of deoxidizer and purify the molten steel to improve the quality of steel. Silicon-aluminum alloy has small density, low coefficient of thermal expansion, good casting performance and anti-wear performance. its cast alloy castings feature high impact resistance, high pressure densification and long service life and are commonly used in the production of spacecraft and automotive components.
